Wannan yunkurin juyin mulki dai ya auku ne makonni biyu da rabi gabannin zaɓen shugaban kasa zagaye na biyu, wanda aka tsayar ranar 29 ga wannan na Afrilu da muke ciki. A watan Maris ne aka gudanar da zagayen farko na zaɓen, inda 'yan takara biyu Carlos Gomes Junior da mai bi masa Kumba Yala, suka gaza samun yawan kuri'u da zai basu nasarar maye kujerar shugaban kasar, Malam Bacai Sanha daya rasa ransa a watan janairu.

Sojojin ƙasar sun yi iƙirarin karbe madafan iko ne domin haifar da sauyi, a maimakon shirin gwamnati na shigar da Sojojin Angola zuwa cikin ƙasar, wadda ake amfani da ita wajen safarar miyagun kwayoyi daga kudancin Amurka zuwa Turai.
