The US Postal Service has been receiving letters to Santa from kids since 1912 and responds to those most in need by sending donated gifts. The program known as "Operation Santa" has changed a lot over the years. Now, some of the Dear Santa letters come via email. And this year, letters sent from children living in hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are part of the holiday mix.
