World leaders at the G8 summit in Italy have unveiled new efforts to tackle global hunger. The initiative aims to help poor countries reduce their dependence on food aid by developing their own agriculture. On Thursday, the G8 meeting acheived mixed results on climate change. Developed and emerging economies agreed to limit temperature rises TO two degrees celsius but there was no consensus on cutting carbon emmissions.
