In Kenya, strict anti-smoking laws in public places that came into force a few years ago have limited the areas where smoking is acceptable now. While the laws are supposed to protect people from the health hazards caused by tobacco, smokers now feel discriminated against, not least because the designated smoking areas are not always in the nicest places.
