The pope visits holy sites in Jerusalem as he continues his Middle East tour

Pope Benedict XVI has been visiting one of the most contentious places in the Holy land, the hilltop known to Jews as the Temple Mount. Its Dome of the Rock mosque is also the most sacred Islamic site in Jerusalem and Benedict is the first pontiff to enter it. As part of his tour of the region, the Pope is striving to promote dialogue among religions.
