The international community has sharply criticised North Korea for testing a nuclear bomb. A seismic tremor recorded in the northeastern part of the country indicates the bomb was four times larger than the one used in a similar test in 2006. Japan's prime minister has called for an emergency session of the U-N Security Council, and the EU has warned North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il that his country could face renewed sanctions. North Korea has also been test firing short-range missiles today.
