EU finance ministers have convened for a 2-day meeting in Slovenia. Deep losses at European banks, tight credit conditions and extreme market volatility have pushed financial sector stability to the top of the agenda at the meeting. But the Ministers are still confident that the EU is in strong shape to ride out a recession in the United States.
