Matchday 13 in pictures
Frankfurt run away with three points against Dortmund, Leverkusen celebrate a derby win against Cologne, Huntelaar reaches a milestone for Schalke and Werder Bremen climb out of the relegation zone.
Dortmund dead last
An early goal from Alex Meier and a glaring miscue between keeper Roman Weidenfeller and defender Matthias Ginter (which led to Haris Seferovic's goal, pictured) spelled the worst for Borussia Dortmund in Sunday's late match: a 2-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt, and a spell in last place in the table.
Best of the rest
Wolfsburg remain the best team in the Bundesliga with the exception of Bayern Munich, winning 1-0 at home against Mönchengladbach. The loss, Gladbach's third in a row, sent them down the table to fifth.
Drmic decides derby
Leverkusen's Swiss super-sub Josip Drmic scored two in the home side's 5-1 win against Cologne. Referee Thorsten Kinhöfer gave Cologne one penalty in the first half, but should have perhaps given them two. Nonetheless, Leverkusen deserved their win.
Huntelaar hat-trick heals
Schalke won comfortably 4-1 against Mainz. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored a hat-trick, a tally which took him to over 100 goals for the club. The victory was a small redemption for di Matteo's men after their midweek hammering by Chelsea.
Hamburg continue to lack consistency
The rollercoaster ride at Hamburg continues. After a much-celebrated derby win against Werder Bremen, Joe Zinnbauer's team were beaten 3-1 by Augsburg. The result puts Augsburg into the dizzying heights of fourth, but puts Hamburg second from the bottom.
Blowout in Bremen
Werder Bremen are in form! Yes, you better believe it. At home against Paderborn, Victor Skripnik's team performed superbly and coasted to a 4-0 win. The win lifts Bremen out of the relegation spots, but reminds Paderborn of the tough task that lies ahead.
Bayern bore in Berlin
Without much fuss, Bayern Munich saw off Hertha Berlin in the Olympiastadion. A wonderful team goal was finished off by Arjen Robben, who curled in from 20 yards. The win puts Bayern 10 points clear after only 13 games, and well on their way to another league title.
The perfect comeback
Huub Stevens celebrated a comeback to the Stuttgart dugout in the perfect manner. Away against Freiburg, his side won 4-1 thanks to a brace from Martin Harnik. The result is a welcome one for Stuttgart, who were on a run of three consecutive defeats.
