Paramedics arrive on the scene at Edgware Road Station after the explosion there. At least 33 people were killed in the blasts, London police confirmed Thursday afternoon.
King's Cross
A traffic camera image shows the King's Cross station area after it was closed following one of the explosions. London police said at least 21 people were killed in the blast there alone, one of the city transport system's high volume hubs.
Remains of a Bombed Bus
Seats on the upper deck of a London bus were exposed to the elements after the bus' roof was blown off in Eversholt Street. The explosions in the subway and the double-decker bus went off only minutes apart from each other, catching police off-guard.
In the Midst of Rush Hour
Injured underground passengers are escorted away from Edgware Road Station in central London following one of the explosions. The entire public transportation system was lamed by the bombs.
Police Taken Unawares
Police on the scene close to Edgware Road station, after an explosion there. Initially London authorities spoke of a power surge in the underground railway system after the first of seven coordinated blasts hit shortly before 9 a.m. local time.
