Turkish organizations in Germany have condemned calls by conservative politicians for a crack down on violent crimes committed by immigrant youths. But leading members of the Christian Democrats rejected the criticism, saying Turkish leaders should develop solutions to the increase in armed assaults and beatings. The issue has become the leading campaign topic ahead of elections in a number of German states.
