Japan marks the 65th anniversary of the atomic bomb dropping on Hiroshima

Japan has marked the 65th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. For the first time the US was officialy represented at the ceremony. On August 6th 1945 a US airforce plane dropped a nuclear bomb on Hiroshima killing 80 000 people instantly. Survivors and dignitaries gathered in the city's Peace Park, where they remembered the exact moment the atomic bomb exploded.
