Since the failed coup attempt in Turkey last July, at least 156 media outlets there have been shut down and an estimated 2,500 journalists and other media workers have lost their jobs. Amnesty International is demanding the release of more than 120 journalists who have been jailed and is running a campaign called #FreeTurkeyMedia.
