Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou hopes that Greece would not have to turn to the International Monetary Fund for help

Greece has sent a strong warning to its European partners that it may have to seek help from the International Monetary Fund. Earlier this week EU finance ministers gave their backing to a plan to bail out Greece if necessary... but revealed no details about how such a plan would work. Speaking to a committee in the European Parliament today, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said Greece he hoped that Greece would not have to turn to the International Monetary Fund for help.
