Germany: shortage of quallified professionals is most notable in the engineering sector

German industry is facing a shortage of skilled professionals. To fill the void, the economics ministry has proposed a plan to recruit workers from abroad by offering a welcome bonus. But that idea has already been dismissed by others in the governing coalition, who note that Germany has some 3- Mmillion unemployed.
