The German organizers of the 2006 World Cup finals will find a way to stop pitch invaders disrupting play, organizing committee chairman Franz Beckenbauer said on Monday. Spectators have managed to run on to the field of play in four matches in the 16-game Confederations Cup tournament in Germany. "It really unnerves me and disrupts the match. Of course we have to manage this," Beckenbauer told a press conference with FIFA president Sepp Blatter. "There will always be madmen all over the world who will always try to find loopholes in the system, but we will find a solution." The latest 'invader', a Spaniard who ran on to the pitch brandishing a flag during the Brazil v Germany semi-final in Nuremberg, admitted he had been paid by a United States-based Internet gambling site. He was released by police after paying a fine of 400 euros ($436). The World Cup organizers are expected to seek a solution which does not involve erecting fences around the pitch.
