Avoiding asthma attacks in winter

Asthma sufferers have oversensitive breathing passages. Normally harmless material can irritate their bronchial tubes. An asthma attack can potentially lead to suffocation. And in winter, going from warm interiors to the cold outside can increase this process.

Asthma sufferers should therefore breathe through their noses and wear scarves over their mouths, take precautions against colds and do moderate exercise -- also outdoors.
