Angela Merkel has been sworn-in for a second term as German Chancellor

Angela Merkel has been sworn in for her second term as Chancellor of Germany. The CDU party leader was re-elected to the post earlier this morning in a special session of the Bundestag. Once her cabinet members have been sworn in, the new government plans to get right down to work with its first session, and after THAT, the Chancellor heads off to Paris for a crucial EU summit.
