Opposition leaders in Kyrgyzstan have formed an interim government after taking power in a violent uprising. At least 65 people were killed in the clashes that erupted on Wednesday. President Kurmanbek Bakiyev has fled the capital. The United Nations is sending a special envoy to the region. The European Union and Russia have offered humanitarian support to the transitional government.
