Afro-Colombians continue to face discrimination

The murder of a leading Afro-Colombian human rights campaigner at the end of last year continues to throw the spotlight on the country’s often-overlooked black community. Colombia has one of the largest populations of people of African descent in Latin American. Nevertheless, discrimination is a big problem. Cartagena is home to the country's biggest community of black people.
