Billboard magazine has called it the greatest album of all time, just behind the soundtrack to the 1965 film "The Sound of Music."

Needless to say, expectations are high ahead of the November 20 release of Adele's latest album, "25." The record's single, "Hello," has already topped the iTunes music charts.

The 27-year-old star soul singer has described her latest work as a reflection on her own entrance to childhood. DW looks back at 10 of her most famous songs, and the superstar's rise to fame.
