A UN donors' conference exceeds all expectations bringing in almost 10-Billion dollars for Haiti

The United Nations Donor conference for Haiti has won pledges of some 10 Billion dollars - far surpassing its initial goal. The aid to the earthquake striken country will be delivered over the next two years to help the Haitian government rebuild infrastructure and spur economic growth. The biggest contributions came from the United States and the European Union.
