A bit trimmer and more refined, but still unmistakable: the 1980s are the rage this season. The London Fashion Week draws to a close after sending plenty of bright colors, shoulder pads and metallic jumpsuits down the runway. Now haute couture connoisseurs are heading to Italy, where the Milan Fashion Week opens Wednesday.

This year's event drew US Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour back after a two-year hiatus and celebrity actress Joan Collins also put in an appearance.
