When the people of Tunisia and Egypt took to the streets in late 2010 and early 2011, they were not only protesting against authoritarian rule - they were also displaying their frustration with bleak social perspectives, corruption and widespread unemployment in their countries. What has changed since the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt from a social and economic standpoint? Are projects being undertaken to provide fresh hope?
