Media consumption and mood

Media consumption is driven much more by emotions than many other human activities. A number of recommendation engines attempt to analyze the viewer’s mood in order to suggest the most suitable content. Also, the emotional feedback of viewers to a specific topic is a very valuable piece of information for program makers. The presentation will give a short overview of how mood and TV consumption are intertwined and how a Smart TV application can use emotional analysis for structuring large amounts of content.
